ISH student staff receive a full induction and training. Wages are paid monthly, directly into your bank account.

All ISH staff who work at least a 4 hour shift are entitled to a £2.75 meal allowance per shift for use in the ISH Catering facilities.
Hours are flexible, with the ability to work hours to suit your schedule.
Bar Assistants
ISH has three bars, the main bar on the ground floor and Venue 1 & Venue 2 Bars in the basement. They offer a wide range of draught and packaged products at very reasonable prices! We have a license that enables us to open until 1am on Thursdays and 3am on Fridays & Saturdays. The main duty of the bar assistants is to serve drinks - quickly, efficiently and with an emphasis on good customer service. You will be handling cash and also keeping the bars and lounge areas clean and tidy – both during service and at the end of the shift.
Work is available seven days per week. Shifts vary from as little as 2.5 hrs (lunchtime) up to 8 or 9 hours in an evening. The shift pattern is flexible and is determined by the events and entertainment programme for each week. Although bar experience isn't necessary it could be beneficial however full training will be given, of more importance is a lively personality and enthusiasm for the job.
Receptionists There are several Receptionist desks at ISH with varying duties. The Front Desk is switchboard/security based and requires staff to check residents in and out, answer enquiries, sell sundry items, and are responsible for a cash float. Part time shifts are generally at weekends.
Event Stewards
Event Stewards will work mainly evenings, with some daytime work available at the weekends. Event Stewards prepare Conference Rooms for use by outside organisations for meetings/training/exams, etc. This will involve moving furniture, as well as room set up/take down for internal entertainments and events.
Venue Crew
Venue Crew will be expected to assist in all aspects of event work including: stewarding, crowd control, staffing the cloakroom, assisting with venue set up/breakdown and assisting with ticketing, the box office and guest lists.
Some event experience would be useful although not essential.
Conference Technicians
We have a variety of built in and mobile AV equipment to meet the needs of our Conference clients. Technicians are required for AV set-up, operation and client liaison before and during events. The role is mostly evenings although occasional weekend and daytime work is available. Training will be given but experience, the ability to work independently and an interest in all things AV is required.
Fitness Centre Receptionists
Fitness Centre Receptionists carry out membership and reception duties in the Regent’s Park Gym, and ensure the fitness area is kept clean and secure. Experience of a gym or fitness environment is beneficial.
Fitness Centre Receptionists normally work in the morning, evening or at weekends.
Venue Technicians
We require staff to supervise the technical aspects of various events including club/dance nights, gigs, fashion shows, corporate dinners and private parties.
The majority of the job is un-supervised and you will be required to set up smaller PA systems, CD/decks, basic lighting, AV equipment and monitor and supervise the use of all our technical equipment depending on the needs of the client.
Technical knowledge of sound, lighting and AV equipment is required although full training is given on site.
Luggage Room Attendants
ISH has a left luggage area for short term storage. Luggage Room Attendants handle cash payments, monitor security of the luggage room and answer enquiries. Luggage Room Attendants also oversee the small car park next to the left luggage area, collecting payments and moving cars within the car park when necessary. It is therefore necessary to have a driving licence for this position.
Luggage Room Attendants work in the early evening and at weekends.
Chambermaids
Chambermaids at ISH clean bedrooms, corridors and communal areas and change bed linen. Chambermaids are required to work in the morning.
