International Students House (ISH) is an extraordinary place for international students who are studying in London. ISH offers a culturally diverse environment where students from all over the world come to live together, share each others cultural experiences and enjoy the full programme of social and recreational activities that ISH has to offer. ISH’s goal is to promote global friendship, trust and education for all, this is why we have a scholarship programme, to allow students with potential the opportunity to study in London where ordinarily they would not have the resources to do so.

Our scholars come from countries across the globe where the financial strains of the country, and individual circumstances act as a barrier to further study. Since the academic year 2000/01, ISH, along with its co-sponsors, has funded 325 students to study in London.

Other Scholarships offered through ISH

Residential Scholarships

International Students House and its sister charity International Students Trust provide a range of residential scholarships for students from the developing world. The Residential Scholarship provides free accommodation at ISH for up to one year. Under certain circumstances this may be extended.

The majority of scholarships are for postgraduate courses or less frequently for an undergraduate course, where the university is prepared to waive the 3 years tuition fees. All scholarships are co-funded with the academic institution that provides a tuition fee waiver. We also co-fund with the other partners such as the Chevening Programme, The Association of Commonwealth Universities, and the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association. These scholarships are available for students from the developing world who intend to return to their home country to work to aid its development with the skills and training they have acquired studying in London
