I was both excited and uncertain when I moved into ISH to begin my studies in London. It was my first time away from home, and although I missed my family, I was equally thrilled by the prospect of newfound independence, the chance to make new friends, and the opportunity to experience a different culture.

I built lasting friendships that continue to this day, experienced a rich mix of cultures, enjoyed cuisines from around the world, and became part of a vibrant and welcoming student community. It truly became a home away from home.
ISH turned out to be the best place I could have lived in London
Some of my fondest memories include the parties behind MTH, evenings spent in the student lounge laughing with friends while watching Friends, cooking and sharing meals in the communal kitchen, attending themed suppers, playing football or taking long walks through Regent’s Park, watching matches and singing at karaoke nights in the ISH bar, and working in the GPS building—an experience that allowed me to meet and connect with people from around the world.
I returned to ISH this summer and felt incredibly happy to be back—to see some of the familiar staff and to once again experience the energy of London. ISH will always hold a very special place in my heart.
