Projects for Peace was established by Kathryn W. Davis, an American investor, painter, philanthropist and political activist who happened to be a resident of I-House New York. To mark her 100th birthday, Kathryn launched the initiative by committing $1 million to fund the first 100 projects.
Since then, Projects for Peace has supported creative and innovative initiatives that seek to make a positive difference around the world, with a focus on conflict resolution, reconciliation and fostering global understanding in the pursuit of lasting peace.
We are incredibly proud of the outstanding initiatives undertaken over the years by ISH residents. Their work reflects the very best of our community: a place where diverse perspectives come together, meaningful global connections are formed, and future changemakers are empowered with the vision and networks to create positive impact in the world.
This year’s awardees are:
José Chiluvane (SOAS, ISH-Chevening Scholar)
