International Students House (ISH) is proud to celebrate Mr. Adityakumar Shrimali, former Tara Nirula (UAL) Scholar, who has been named the PIEoneer Awards 2025 International Alum of the Year.

The PIEoneer Awards recognise international students, alumni, and organisations who are pushing the boundaries and setting new standards in education. This is not just another awards ceremony—it is a celebration of creativity, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in education.

Aditya is the founder of Loomlight Designs, pioneering sensory-rich, Braille-integrated textiles that merge heritage crafts with innovative design. A multi-award-winning designer, his journey from a small village in Gujarat, India, to global recognition reflects resilience, hope, and a deep commitment to inclusivity and social impact through design.

Reflecting on his journey, Aditya shared:
“Studying abroad on a scholarship was not just the fulfilment of my dream—it became a beacon of hope for my entire community. When I returned home with my degree, I realised it wasn’t just mine; it belonged to everyone who believed in me.”
Through Loomlight Designs, Aditya has worked alongside artisans, engaged with visually impaired communities, and shared his story with students in India and beyond – showing that education can be a bridge to new possibilities.
As an ISH alumnus, Aditya exemplifies our values of fostering international understanding, nurturing talent, and building lifelong connections. His recognition highlights the transformative role of scholarships and the enduring impact of the ISH and UAL partnership through the Tara Nirula Scholarship programme.
We warmly congratulate Aditya on this remarkable achievement.
