Donal is currently a Venture Partner at Purposeful Ventures, working with social entrepreneurs and philanthropists to improve the education and well-being of young people. Leading work across both their Investment and Incubation portfolios, he works with a range of existing charities and new ventures. Before this, Donal worked as Chief Strategy Officer at ActionFunder, as well as in Asia, North America and Europe for five years with the social mobility charity the Karta Initiative, bridging the divide between underserved communities in India and global educational and employment opportunities. In another life he also worked as a journalist in Buenos Aires and for a think tank in Berlin. He holds an undergraduate degree from Durham University and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge.
