Ms Ranjita Rajan

Ranjita works with investors and companies to drive value creation and inclusive prosperity. Her early career was spent as a macroeconomist, followed by several years with McKinsey & Co, before moving into building start-ups to growth in education, health, and social impact. She founded the Karta Initiative as a global social mobility movement, building technology, finance, and networks to bridge the divide between “base of pyramid” youth and world leading opportunity. Her international experience spans Europe, Latin America, South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa and North America. Ranjita is fluent in French and Spanish, with conversational German and Bengali. She holds BSc Econ and MSc Econ degrees from the London School of Economics.
