How to keep the fun alive during exam season!

Exam season – the dreaded period where stress levels skyrocket and fun seems like a distant memory. With some planning and strategic relaxation techniques, you can keep the fun alive even during the busiest times.

Schedule fun breaks

The key to getting through exam season is revising with breaks. Try to break up your study sessions with short, enjoyable activities – a quick walk outside, a coffee with friends or even a dance party in your room. These breaks will help you rejuvenate your mind and make studying feel less like a core. You can even travel at student prices with our travel club. This is a great way to get away from the books while having fun.

Study Groups with a twist!

Instead of traditional study groups, turn them into fun study sessions. You can plan themed study nights where everyone dresses up, brings snacks, and incorporates fun study games or challenges. This is a great way to test your knowledge and determine if all the independent studying has paid off. Learning can be enjoyable when done in good company.

We all know how boring studying can be so , if you are able to think of ways to make it more fun we will enjoy what we are learning more.

Incorporate rewards!

One thing I like to do and what I learnt works for me is setting up a reward system for yourself. For example, for every hour of focused studying, treat yourself to something fun like watching an episode of your favourite TV show, playing a video game or indulging in a tasty snack. It’s amazing how motivating a little reward can be!

Exercise and Relaxation

Try not to neglect your physical and mental well-being during exam season. Try to include regular exercise into your routine, whether it’s a workout at the gym, a yoga session, or a walk through the park. Exercise releases endorphins which can help reduce stress and improve your mood. There are so many benefits to looking after yourself and your mental health. In the same way, our bodies need fuel, rest, and movement to function well, our minds must receive the same care and attention to operate.

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health. This will help you retain more information whilst revising.

Creative outlets

I know how easy it is to get consumed by your assignments and exams, however taking breaks to engage in creative activities that you enjoy will make life worth living again. Painting, writing, playing music or tapping into your creative side can provide a much-needed mental escape from exam season.

Stay Connected

Try not to isolate yourself completely during this period. Make time to connect with friends and family, even if it’s just for a quick chat or a study session together. Social support can help you stay motivated and remind you that there’s more to life than exams.

Your friends are more important than you think when is exam season. We all get stressed out when multiple deadlines and exams are coming up.

Remember to have a balance between studying and enjoying yourself during exam season. By incorporating fun activities into your routine, you can reduce stress, stay motivated and maintain your sanity throughout this challenging time. So, keep calm, study hard and don’t forget to have fun along the way!
